February 22, 20233 yr Hi, It has been probably over a year now since I last used P2A, and I thought now was the time to 'master' all of its wonderful features. I have never used 'voice' through a microphone, but used the 'Say it' button and that worked fine when I last used it. So what have I done so far: Opened MSFS 2020 first, then Opened P2A, and imported a flight plan from Simbrief. Added SID, STAR and APPR. Validated the file, connected to the sim - all OK - although in the Speech box, I only got one line 'Connected to Sim'. Filed the flight plan Operated PTT using a button on my joystick, hit the ?, and nothing appeared in the Speech Assistant. So, having read various threads on forums, I tried three courses of action a) connect and disconnect P2A several times to the sim (a user said that fixed his issue) b) ran P2A as administrator and finally c) uninstalled and reinstalled P2A from a fresh download, in case of any corrupt files. None of these resolved my issue of not been able to see any text in the Speech assistant Then, although I do not want to use a mic, I plugged one in, and this time I got 5 lines of text in the Speech box - Simulator connected, Recognition Engine Installed, Grammars Loaded, ATIS and Gnd Freq. So guess you have to have a mic installed whether you use it or not? Having got this far - I still have no text in the speech assistant - so have not resolved my issue. Screenshot below of what I am seeing and where I have got to - what do I need to do to fix this issue? https://www.dropbox.com/s/2nltd405v41djn6/IMG_4526.HEIC?dl=0 PS: Forgot to mention that I do tune into a frequency - either clearance/departure or Ground and again nothing in the speech assistant box UPDATE - having powered down my PC and restarted both MSFS 2020 and P2A - it is to the best of my knowledge now working. Can someone point me in the direction of a good video inflight tutorial? Edited February 22, 20233 yr by SquadronLeader George Westwell
