How to delete commands

Featured Replies

Hello,

I use MCE for MSFS with the Fenix A320 being quite happy with the tool. However, it sometimes understands a command to switch off IRS one, two and three. I guess this is probably because of some noices in the background in the room. The issue with that is that it severely interrupts my activities when before starting the aircraft and it has an even nastier impact when this happens in flight.

I would therefore delete these three commands from the tool to avoid the issues I have with it.

Does someone know how to delete such commands from the tool, which steps to take for that?

Any help is highly appreciated:)

Kind regards,

Tilo

Good to hear you're having fun with the FO.

False detections are usually a sign of either badly calibrated microphone or speech profile no longer fit for purpose as a result of switching headset or moving PC to a room with significantly different ambent noise conditions, In which case, creating a new speech profile and training it from scratch could be the way tio go.

You may not know this, anything deemed critical like "IRS OFF", once the engines are running, or even asking FO to start engine will always require a confirmation when the order is given directly. Try asking co-pilot "shutdown both engines" and see if he does it straight away.

This isn't VoiceAttack after all.

You may want to take a leaf out of Andrew who makes extensive use of the Joystick button to frequencly disable, enable MCE speech reco as needed.

In "General" tab, click <More options>

In "Advanced options" panel, enable optiuon "Numlock mutes reco" and assign a joystick button for that function.

See Andrew (Alaska Airlines captain) be able to chat with a fellow online all while giving commands to his FO.

Copy the link between quotes and paste it to your browser

Worst case scenarion, we could send you some ad-hoc speech grammar file that doesn't have commands for IRS control. But try the above first.

By the way, for those who dream about a jump seat ride on a 737NG, Andrew's channel is a must.

It's not one of those, click bait,  "OMG I'm here" sort of channels.

It's very educational.

He comments on the thinking process that goes behind most of the decisions he makes and that's exactly what a guy about to complete a 737NG type rating needs.

Thank you for all the explanations. I will try those and come back in case, I did not overcome the issue.

Kind regards,
Tilo
