Recommended Posts

Hi!

I've been trying to install PSXT + RealTraffic for quite some time now, howeve have been struggling... I cannot get PSXT to connect to my sim, or find my AIG OCI Folders. I am truly lost on what to do 😞

Note that PSXT_P3D does not even tries to connect to P3D or RT if the Liveries scan does not find any liveries. Therefore, if you fix that, it will probably connect to P3D and RT

What to do?

  • Read the Quick start guide
  • Read the Manual about how to install and how to scan for Liveries, either automatic or non-automatic with lfolder parameters (chapter 5). <= probably your solution
    If it cannot find the P3D install path, type it in in the GUI yourself.
  • If you get an error message, look in the Manual about what to do, see chapter 13.3
  • Check the FAQ.

I have to go now, but if you could not fix it, post your Log.txt here, and somebody may jump in and help you.

It is very simple, but you have to read the documentation, see the manual 5.1

define lfolder0="a full path to your AIG-OCI folder"  in C:\users\<you>\AppData\Roamimg\PSXT_P3D\parameters.xml

and now I'm off

The key to success lies in the parameter.xml file.
The file is located in C:\Users\<name>\AppData\Roaming\PSXT_P3D.
There you can enter the directories where your simobjects are located. With me it looks like this:Edit the file and enter the corresponding paths at the end!
<parameter name="SIM_INSTALL_PATH" value="D:\Program Files\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4" />
    <parameter name="RUNNING" value="true" />
    <parameter name="lfolder1" value="C:\Program Files (x86)\Addon Manager\Simobjects\Misc" />
    <parameter name="lfolder2" value="C:\Program Files (x86)\Addon Manager\Simobjects\PBR" />
    <parameter name="lfolder3" value="D:\OCI\AIGAIM - OCI\SimObjects" />
    <parameter name="lfolder4" value="&lt;parameter name=" />
</parameters>
<parameters>
    <parameter name="RUNNING" value="false" />
</parameters>

Then PSXT should find the files and generate the file AI_liveries.xml in the installation directory of PSXT (D:\PSXT_P3D\liveries for me)!
In the PSXT program switch off the automatic at "liveries" (important)!

Good luck!!!
