...under Windows 11. Driver software installs but doesn't recognize the joystick, I get an error message and MSFS 2020 doesn't recognize the joystick. 

Is there a way around this? (before I shell out $$ for a new joystick).

I had same problem, I went to Device Manager, deleted both Extreme 3D Pro entries, without joystick plugged in, then rebooted, plugged joystick back in and it works now
