March 16, 20233 yr In the last days I have reconfigured my MSFS settings to get the highest fps in combination with good visuals. I am sung the laatste SU12 beta. When testing I always take off with my 738 at Amsterdam Schiphol and make a 1h flight at 3500 ft at 230 kias. Half of the flight I use Vsync On/60 hertz/50% (=30 fps). My route is the same : Amsterdam - Rotterdam - The Hague - Amsterdam - Rotterdam - The Hague -.Amsterdam etc. I fly with Real weather and with Scattered clouds. Yesterday I remarked that when turning right over The Hague for the towards Amsterdam my fps dropped with 35-40% ! The main thread load went from 18 up to 37 in both Vsync On mode and in Unlimited mode and the framerate dropped to 18-19 when using fps unlimited .I have done this TestFlight many times in the last 2 years and never saw this. In 2020-2021 I collected multiple city objects from flightsim.to for the 4 largest cities in the Netherlands ( Ams/Rott/The Ha/Utr ) and have used them ever since.Today I will do the same TestFlight with these mods turned off to see if this helps. So I was wondering if MSFS , the more it is evolving, is having more difficulties displaying these Google 3D objects. Or is it simply SU12 beta that has this issue? And I will test with DX11 instead of DX12. March 16, 20233 yr Results will be interesting and whilst sceneries compiled from google certainly affect performance a lot depends on how well they are optimised. Some devs take a lot more trouble over this aspect than others. Often just temporarily turn your settings down is enough to make performance acceptable or just running a few less of them. The last time I tested fps was with SU10 and all was well. Flying with or without clouds makes no difference. Today I assembled my new OC 737 rudder but tomorrow I will test again and report back. 5950x3d 5.4-5.7 GHz - Asus ROG 870 Crosshair Apex - GSkill Neo 2x 24 Gb 6000 mhz / cas 26 - MSI RTX 5090 Gaming Trio OC - 1x SSD M2 6000 2TB - 1x SSD M2 2800/1800 1Tb - Corsair 5400 case - Corsair 360 liquid cooling set - 3x 75’ TCL tv. 13600 6 cores @ 5.1 GHz / 8 cores @ 4.0 GHz (hypterthreading on) - Asus ROG Strix Gaming D - GSkill Trident 4x Gb 3200 MHz cas 15 - Asus TUF RTX 4080 16 Gb - 1x SSD M2 2800/1800 2TB - 2x Sata 600 SSD 500 Mb - Corsair D4000 Airflow case - NXT Krajen Z63 AIO liquide cooling - FOV : 200 degrees My flightsim vids : https://www.youtube.com/user/fswidesim/videos?shelf_id=0&sort=dd&view=0
