Strange

Featured Replies

In Vista, I have a strange thing. I have many jpegs in many folders. If I do a Search for some jpegs, they appear instantly, but beside many of them, there comes up an identically-named generic greenishthumbnail, which makes an unneccesary clutter. If I try to delete this generic duplicate thumbnail, it says it can't do it. It says this jpeg thumbnail folder, (folder!!!??)no longer exists & can't be deleted! Certainly doesn't look like a folder to me. There's no sign of anything strange when you open a folder. It's only in Search. These generic greenish thumbnails have 0kbs as their size in properties. They all look exactly the same! So they don't exist & therefore they can't be deleted!!Any ideas how this might be cured??Peter Sydney Australia

Have you emptied the recycle bin? Searching on indexed location files and folders also shows the recycle bin.
