Reloading after shutdown engines

Featured Replies

Every time when the engines are shutdown there is somekind of reloading taking place.
Already disabled the appearance of the logbook and now this.

Is it me ?
Anyone noticed this ?

Me too. Under VR, there is the panel shifted away instantly and the sim halts. A couple of seconds later it's back to normal.

It's been under discussion on the official forum for a long time, not sure if it's still on or people just gave in. Agreed, it's annoying and disturbs immersion.

Kind regards, Michael

Not only in VR this happens.
They better stop with all kinds of new updates and fix current issues first.
I think you mean this topic:

Indeed. Bug logged. Will be amended around SU15, with some luck. Does this really require rocket science to solve? Even more as there was a time were engine shutdown went uninterrupted. The code should be still around somewhere.

No. I don't remember the exact date when this annoyed me first, but the thread you cited started April 22, so a year ago.  Only 109 votes, nothing to care about.

This underwent a few modifications with the mandatory logbook popup some time ago, which was amended later, but they never really got engine shutdown straight since.

What amazes me this happens in 2D, too. I never get out of VR before engines are off, thus I didn't know this happens in 2D, too.

Kind regards, Michael
