interesting site for you...

We all know about the airline flight tracking websites. However, I came accross this and was a bit blown away. I know high seas shipping like I know the back of your hand - had no idea there was this kind of density.I would think that if one had a problem at sea, it would not be too hard to find someone in the area to help out. Yes, I know, a big area but still...http://www.sailwx.info/shiptrack/shiplocations.phtmlmake sure you click on the image for zooming in.Tom, not really aviation related, please feel free to delete if you want.

Whoa! That is a very cool web site. Thank you for the link!I think MS has said that the ships in FSX follow "flight plans" if you will--so I don't see why this type of data couldn't be eventually integrated into the sim somehow.RhettAMD 3700+, eVGA 7800GT 256, ASUS A8N-E, PC Power 510 SLI, 2 GB Corsair XMS 3-3-3-8, etc. etc.

Look up this ship, near Japan/South Korea and the Cheju island...:MARE THRACIUM. that typhoon is just NE of it, and it's reporting 26 foot waves, 1 minute intervals, and wind speed of 47 knots.Wow. Imagine 26 foot waves crashing across your bow.RhettAMD 3700+, eVGA 7800GT 256, ASUS A8N-E, PC Power 510 SLI, 2 GB Corsair XMS 3-3-3-8, etc. etc.
