April 20, 20233 yr When I save a flight plan when using Navigraph Charts it seems the version of the selected approach that is saved often does not include the selected approach IAF or transition, but rather it is the version of the approach with "Final" as the selected transition that is saved. Is this by design, or perhaps do I need to do something different? Thanks, Al Edited April 20, 20233 yr by ark
April 20, 20233 yr When I save an approach via Navigraph that includes an instrument approach, I verify the transition: When you superimpose the IAP over the approach on the map it shows transition options that you can choose for the IAF. When you click on your chosen transition it is highlighted in the list for the approach in the left panel. When you click on it there, that transition is added to the approach in the flight plan. Usually, this transition will be in place when you import the Navigraph plan into the MSFS planner. On occasion, FS will mess this up, so I always verify that the correct transition waypoint is there. On the rare occasion it is not, I add it from the aircraft NAV system procedures menu and I'm good-to-go. Randall Rocke

My problem is between exporting the Navigraph Flight Plan to save it, and then later importing it back into Navigraph Charts. As for the sim, I prefer to enter the flight plans manually -- helps me review and internalize the plan. Thanks for the reply. Al Edited April 20, 20233 yr by ark
April 21, 20233 yr Author For those interested, it turns out if you save a Navigraph flight plan in MSFS pln format, approach transitions are not saved. Al
