Installing FSX AI Repaints for MSFS AI Models?

Featured Replies

Hey there,

I want to manually install repaints for AI Models in MSFS that are not covered by Alpha India Group's AIGAIM program.
For example Nordwind Airlines. AIG doesn't provide a package for this airline, so I wanted to try to install liveries on my own.
I just need them for VATSIM model matching, so I don't require any flightplan, just the repaint.
UTT has got quite a lot of repaints for nordwind over here: http://unitedtrafficteam.com/index.php/ai-repaints/tag/Nordwind

When i click on the A321, there are two files available for download:

Can I just get the FSX one and copy the texture folder into the AIGAIM_FAIB_A321-200_IAE folder (+ adding the nordwind fltsim entry in the aircraft.cfg of course)? But what about the "model.ABC-"Airline.." files?
The downloaded nordwind repaint just provides a texture folder, but not a "model...." one.

I assume it doesn't work then, right?

Any help much appreciated on wether or not it's possible to install FSX repaints into the AIG AI installation for MSFS 🙂
