Real World Weather

Recommended Posts

Hello.

Now that HIFi has shut down their servers for ASE, can anyone recommend real world weather options for FS9?  I remember seeing something recently talking about a couple of other options but I have no idea where I saw it.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you!

Any experience with this?  Good?  Bad?

I also don't see anything listed for what OS this runs on.  Any info on that?

Uh?

Perhaps you left your specs behind. At the top of the page:
"FS GLOBAL REAL WEATHER FS9 FSX P3D X-PLANE 10"

That's programs it works with.  Not the operating system it will run on.

Is anyone here using this application by chance?  If so, would you be willing to look in the documentation to see what operating systems it's supposed to function with?

Apologies - brain now in gear.

The manual does not give that information, but I have been using it back to Windows 7, currently Windows 10.

If you want to be sure, I suggest you ask at the developer's site:
Welcome to PILOT'S! (pilots.shop)

Hope that helps,

John

I much prefer ASE. I have FSGRW but haven't used it for a long time. Can't really tell you about specific pros or cons as can't remember.
ASE certainly had many more features. FSGRW was slow to load weather and sometimes the server plays up. For some users, they couldn't get it to download weather at all. Now, this was at least 3 or more years ago I'd say and certainly server issues may have since been resolved...or maybe not.

I would prefer it as well, but they have shut down the servers for it.  No longer an option unfortunately.

Er, am I allowed to correct you on that without looking stupid? 🙂

Lower left on the page, link marked "Contact"

Only online weather is stopped which makes literally no difference. I'll use ASE for life.
