May 12, 20233 yr Hi, Amt trying to connect Loupedeck Live with A&O for different views PMDG 737-700. Know how it works in Spad.Next but can,t find any tutorial how to do this in A&O. Like to keep all my scripting in A&O. Any help is highly appriciated. Kind regards, Anton Will van Zoelen
May 12, 20233 yr Commercial Member "Hardware->MIDI devices enabled" If the Loupdeck operates as a proper MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface) device in Windows, you should be able to see it on the dialog "Hardware->Show MIDI devices". If you can see it there, you can create Button or Axis assignments with it (depending on what MIDI messages it sends) Be mindful though that these USB devices are only "fake MIDI". They can be captured by other software and can become invisible for AAO. ("Real" MIDI would be message based only, and every MIDI capable device would be able to receive and process the messages) LORBY-SI
May 13, 20233 yr Author Hi Lorby, Thanks for your quick response. Loupedeck is available in A&O: Midi In : ID:1 Loupedeck Live and Midi Out: ID:2 Loupedeck Live. In Loupedeck Live I made for instance for Panel View : Midi Message: -Noteplay as option (Other options are: Note Toggle, CC Set, CC Toggle) -unique note: G(-2) -Duration: 50 -Velocity : 100 -Midi channel : 1 How do these values translate in A&O? Kind regards, AW
May 13, 20233 yr Commercial Member Simply try it out? But I would set velocity to 127 = the maximum, so it is recognized as a CLICK. Use the green + to open the button assignment dialog in AAO, then immediately operate the control on the Loupedeck. When this translates to a proper MIDI message, AAO should pick it up and display it as assigned control. Same procedure as with joystick buttons. There is nothing "special" about MIDI devices as far as AAO is concerned. Edited May 13, 20233 yr by Lorby_SI LORBY-SI
