WT 787 with MCE

Featured Replies

What's the status on WT 787 support? I assume it was supported before. Will it be updated to support new functionality on full release?

Off-topic PS: The 70 knots callout in the Fenix A320 sound two to five times below 70 knots on rollout for me.

Asobo 787 is fully supported. Just a matter of finding out what they added. Similar to Asobo A320 V FlyBywire.

Incidentally WT CJ4 is already supported

You can bet it will be fully supported too.

Any idea on what will need to be updated yet? (Sorry, I know it's early).

Latest V3.0.4.7 has significant integration with WT mod to Asobo 787. A couple more weeks and it should be sorted.

Question: Will it be possible for MCE to select items on the ND and FMC since they are manipulated via a touch pad in real life and via mouse interactions with the screens in the sim?

It's being worked on. However, it seems Working Title hasn't yet finished what they set out to do.

For instance FMC CDU page selection appears to only work on the left side unit and many line insertion not working even manually.

Writing to scratchpad is working but LSK1, RSK2 etc  for insertion don't seem to work using the dug up vars. It will be eventually worked out, as this stuff isn't well documented (no SDK yet).

Also, behaviour seems to be slightly different when you have Asobo 787 only installed vs when you add "B78XH" to \Community\ folder.

Which configuration are you on?

I only use the WT 787, no heavy division mod. That's not compatible anymore with the aircraft since the WT updates and may be the reason for some things not working correctly as it's known to interfere.
