anyone experience severe fps degradation after pause

Featured Replies

Hello, was flying the PMDG 737 and had to step away so I hit escape key and selected load from PC (I read that pauses the pmdg plane).  Anyway I came back 15 mins later and fps were at around 9fps.   Before pause, fps were 84 or so.   so I just shut the sim down.  I'm on a 13700, rtx 4080.   ultrawide monitor, 32mb ram,  using fstl.

Has anyone had this issue?

In my experience with this, when flying something like the PMDG 737 or the Fenix A320, and you pause for longer then say 5 mins, turn off FSLTL and then when you come back from your break, restart FSLTL. I have found that to be one of the possible causes (and fix) for this exact type of problem. I have been doing it like this that is simply part of my normal routine now when pausing MSFS for more then 5 minutes.
