I've read through the FEX manual, but I'm just not sure of procedure.What I mean is this. Should I open FEX, make my settings changes, load those changes, and then START FSX from that screen? Should I then minimize the FEX screen so that it continues to run, or does it just automatically load and I can start FSX as normal with the FSX icon?Does FEX appear in the Scenery Library, and should it be placed in a certain order...because I'm also running UT from Flight1?I know this is a basic question, but I'd like to know how all of you do it. After the new textures install, I close FEX so it frees up a couple of extra resources. It does not need to be running....Under the options tab you can also check to close FEX when you click the "Launch FSX" button....FEX will close automaticallyIt does not conflict with the scenery library.Have fun!

Thanks...I thought that FSX slowed down when FEX was minimized!That should make a difference.Stan
