Featured Replies

Hi, i have been facing this issue for about 2-3 weeks. My fsx just crashes on splash screen the icon of fsx shows on taskbar but nothing happens.
I have reinstalled FSX multiple times (more than 10times) reinstalled fresh windows 10, deleted and addded UIautomationcore.dll etc. removed/renamed fsx.cfg.

i have tried everything but everything in vain
Please Help!!

Have you deleted your logbook.bin file in your Microsoft Flight Simulator X folder in My Documents?

Just going to run a Chromebook and not upgrade to a Windows computer. Too many problems with the new Sims! 😱

I find most CTD at startup have been due to the logbook getting corrupted. Rather than trashing it and letting FSX create a new one there is a good bit of software which will assess and fix a corrupted logbook... so then you dont lose all your logged flights. You simply put the exe file in the same folder as the logbook.bin and run it when you need to. You do an Analyze and a Recover (if it finds a corruption) and do a Backup if needed. Its a long time since I got it but I  think it is the FSX Logbook Recovery tool downloadable from FlyAway.

There is no such folder/file. Not even a microsoft flight simulator folder. This is a fresh copy of windwos and fresh copy of fsx

No bro, when i start fsx it just openes shows the splash screen and then not even the entire sim is loaded it crashes. i have tried reinstalling fsx like 10-15 times also reinstalled windows completly (not by default windows option to reset) like fresh installation. Before the reinstallation of windows it used to run fine. Now whenever i tried to start the sim it just shows the splash screen for couple of seconds (icon of fsx is showed in the taskbar) but after that godknows what happenes it crashes or smthing without any error codes nothing just like disappers. After this image it crashes without any error messages. By the way if u want a video contact me on (aditya8513#2742)spacer.png

I suspect there is none as if there was a re-installation done without user data being saved and FSX has never started up successfully after that, then a logbook.bin file has probably not been created.

Unfortunately I have no other ideas.  I didnt use the Steam version either so it may be an issue specific to it as well.
