Hello, I recently purchased Carenado's new 182RGII but when I turn on the avioncs switch my GPS and radios are just completely dark. I have tried re installing the product but nothing. I switch to other Carenado aircraft and it's completely fine. I'm not sure what the issue is.

Perhaps walk us through your start up process, step by step, starting from cold and dark. Prior to that the best guess might be settings conflicts with your MSFS Controls Settings.  Have you taken time to create a specific Controls Profile for the 182RG?  Starting from scratch?  Could be your controls or controls settings have the switches on your controls in an off state, and in the sim, on the panel, you are atttempting to switch them on?

It’s the same start up I use in my other GA airplanes. And I’m pretty sure it has nothing to do with the controls mapping. I manually click the avionics master o on on the virtual cockpit and still nothing.

But to answer your question, y turn the battery master on, turn the engine on and then the avionics. I even tried setting the panel state to ready to taxi from the tablet the airplane has and it’s still dark. Tried switching to the 750 gps and still the same.

i switch to another Carenado airplane and go through the same process, and it works. It has something to do to this specific one and I don’t know what it is.

Try unpluging your controls and then restart your system and fresh start of MSFS.  See if that gets you around it.  Also, have you loaded any addon liveries?  If so remove them.  No joy?  Check your AV for quarantined files.

Another possibility is path/filename length.  Windows has a max limit.  What is the full path from the start of your drive all the way to the simobjects/textures folder of the 182RG?   If you have accepted the MS default pathway for installation that could be an issue.  Any files beyond that limit will not be loaded unless you patch your Windows Registry to overcome the limit.  Do a web search for Windows pathname/filename length.

Also you might post about this issue in the primary MSFS 2020 forum here.  More will see your issue and someone may recognize it and help you overcome it.  Post it as a new topic.  Don't bury it at the end of another existing 182RG topic.
