June 21, 20232 yr For some reason, the A&O detent input box is no longer responsive. When using an axis for flaps, double clicking on the detent number input box has no effect. The default number is either 363 or 143(the box hides the 3 digits,so they are hard to read). I am using the new updated ATR as well as the Transall c-160, both of which appear to have the same anomaly. Edited June 21, 20232 yr by flyforever

Are you talking about the user created software detents on the axis control and raw value dialog? Edited June 22, 20232 yr by Lorby_SI LORBY-SI
June 22, 20232 yr Author It's the "Flap Handle Detents" box located in the min "change axis assignment" Window. Edited June 22, 20232 yr by flyforever
June 22, 20232 yr Commercial Member Oh, OK. Weird. I know that there was a bug fixed with that one, but I don't remember which version or what exactly the issue was. Looks like this is actually a different box, that should be hidden at this point. It will definitely be fixed in the next version of AAO though (I am looking at that right now) But - the box should be mouse wheel sensitive, does that do anything useful? June 22, 20232 yr Author I tried everything, but there's no response. In fact, if I open it in "no sim" mode, the box works fine. It's only when MSFS is running....and I try to set up the flap detents.

I'm pretty sure that this is the wrong box being shown, looks like the Axis Max value (that you would see for a normal axis). Edited June 22, 20232 yr by Lorby_SI LORBY-SI
June 22, 20232 yr Author Once I've loaded MSFS, the input box goes into a catatonic state. What I cannot determine is what enabled me to make it work the first time early this morning in off line mode. Once the input box is in a catatonic state, the offline mode does not make a difference. Closing MSFS also does not change its inoperative state. I will restart Windows and open AAO in off line mode to see if that makes a difference.

I would suggest this: delete the assignment and create a new one for "Flaps Handle". When you do, before you save the assignment, change Axis Min to 0 and Axis Max to the desired number of detents. That should do the trick. Edited June 22, 20232 yr by Lorby_SI LORBY-SI
