July 6, 20232 yr Dave, courtesy check where this topic is in your priority stack. So little room for error when connecting to the tower on an RNAV or ILS approach. I look at the log file trying to troubleshoot phrasing on my own. The only safe bet is "...with you..." Please and thank you.
July 7, 20232 yr Commercial Member The proper phraseology when Approach or Center hands you off to tower on an instrument approach you have already been cleared for is: "Tower, <CallSign> inbound for ILS approach runway xx". Substitute R-Nav for ILS if appropriate. Dave
October 24, 20232 yr Author Dave, listening carefully to P2A, the phrasing for RNAV is 'R' 'N' 'A' 'V' instead of "arnav"; is that configurable by me to have it recognize "arnav" as R-N-A-V? thanks
October 24, 20232 yr Commercial Member No it's not configurable. In either this or the next beta, I made changes in the grammar to recognize "R Nav" / "arnav".
