Question: is this recoverable with some other magic phrase?
July 9, 20232 yr Commercial Member Probably not with just a phrase. The crash recovery procedure usually works: Disconnect/Reconnect P2A File your flight plan, making sure it is the same as what you had been cleared for. Check that the radio is tuned to the Center controller. In most cases it will be. Make the normal initial contact call. If descending, it would be "<CallSign> descending to <previously cleared altitude>". Otherwise, "<CallSign> at FLight Level xxx" You should then get a new squawk code and things should progress normally from there. Dave
