July 23, 20232 yr Author Still having issues when panning. My frames jump when I'm fully in a cockpit view then come back down when I look out again and my frame times jump so that's what's causing the stutter. I didn't have that issue with vsync though so I'll have to experiment with locking to see if that helps. Still can't get it as smooth as I had it with vsync either. It's just jumpy especially on the ground and near airports. It was never perfect before but it was mostly smooth except in the most demanding scenarios. In the same testing spots it's noticeably worse with gsync so far. Just want to make sure I'm not making any erroneous assumptions. Before on vsync when I was able to maintain 60fps on my 60hz monitor things were perfectly smooth. When it was below that I had issues. At heavier airports I'm usually around 50 so not too far down. Isn't gsync supposed to help with the stuttering there since I have a full gsync range of 1-144? Or am I completely misunderstanding what gsync can do. Screen tearing isn't an issue for me anymore but the stuttering especially when panning is. edit: setting my refresh rate at 60hz and turning vsync on helped. Not quite as smooth but I’m going to try the exact same flight later tonight at a fixed rate with gsync off to see if it’s any different. Once I’m away from the airport I don’t get the stutter when panning so I’m assuming it’s just loading all of the objects at the airport causing it. Still don’t have the issue with vsync on gsync so not sure why it’s any different. Edited July 23, 20232 yr by sfgiants13 5800x3d Asus 4090 ROG Strix OC 2TB SSD 32GB Ram
