August 11, 20232 yr I have this very good scenery for Ramon (LLER) in Israel. The scenery can be found here LLER – Eilat Ramon Airport – VDG (vdgsim.com) The scenery works in P3D v5.4 except the default buildings show up. I found a exclude file from here Prepar3D v5 Scenery Compatibility Files – iniBuilds which does get rid of the default buildings, but it also removes the runway and taxiway signs, edge lights, and markings. So this is no good to use. I also found a fix here FTXDes: Project LLER but I can't download the file. The file is no longer available. Can someone help me out? I tried to do it myself, but I don't know what I am doing. Edited August 11, 20232 yr by Joseph29
August 11, 20232 yr First, you need Airport Design Editor, a free AFCAD editor by Scruffyduck Software. There are 2 ways to get rid of the stock airport objects: 1. Load your airport into ADE, then use the "Load Stock Data" tool which will insert all the stock objects into the loaded airport, then just delete all these stock objects and save and compile the modified airport. 2. Load the stock airport into ADE. Delete everything except the ILS navaids if they exist - you can actually leave the runways, aprons, and taxiways but I prefer to remove them just in case. Save and compile this airport - I usually name it something like "KABC_ADEP5_DM_EXC.bgl". Put the compiled bgl file into the same folder as your addon airport. This will simply exclude all the stock objects. I prefer method 2 as it avoids a number of pesky issues which can crop up when recompiling the original airport.
