Editing the config database

Featured Replies

I have my rudder pedals assigned in the aao config for every aircraft in MSFS.  I just recently had to replace those pedals.   I'm hoping there is a way to edit each of these configs to make the necessary changes (delete them and assign them ingame) for the new pedals without having to load each aircraft individually in the game.   I can't figure out how to do this.  Any advice?

Thanks

Sorry about this.  I figured it out.  For some reason I didn't want to look in the "Templates" tab since I wanted to edit Configs, not Templates.   Duh!   It's right there:  Edit Config Files.

"Hardware->Hardware change"

On this dialog you can replace controllers throughout the entire database.

Personally, I do it one plane after the other, when I actually fly them. Replacing a controller doesn't take into account that you may want to recalibrate it. In the later versions of AAO you can also create templates and link them to the aircraft instead of duplicating all controls. This can be helpful for those things that are the same for most aircraft anyway - and you have only one spot to correct/replace.
