August 23, 20232 yr This is not the latest and greatest, or even second best Ryzen X3D GPU. But last year it was the best gpu period, at least for gamers. https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/amd-ryzen-7-5800x3d-review It could be saving you money in 4 ways (several hundreds of dollars total). It's a cheaper X3D GPU than the better ones that came out later. It uses the old AM4 motherboards (important if that's what you have now, you won't have to replace it with AM5). It uses the old style RAM DDR4 (important if you already have DDR4 RAM because you must use DDR5 RAM with the better Ryzen X3D GPUs) It requires a smaller rated power supply (important if yours is now say 650 watts, no need to replace it).
