Won't happen - RXP was shut out by Asobo and now there are good GTN options within MSFS 2020.

RXP was not “shut out” by Asobo. There would have been (and still is) nothing preventing RXP as an independent software developer from creating products for MSFS.

TDS built a GPS solution, based on the Garmin Trainer, that has the same “look and feel” and works very much like the units that RXP made for FSX, P3D and X-Plane. Of course neither TDS or RXP could ever be used on X-Box because of the need to connect to the Trainer, which would not be allowed on the XB platform.

I’m well aware of the history. If RXP was not approved as a Marketplace vendor, it would be because their products rely on an external program (the Garmin Trainer), which cannot be sold through the Marketplace. The Fenix A320 is not available through the Marketplace for the same reason.

While Asobo might have benefited from RXP’s knowledge and expertise as a “consultant” in the very beginning of the MSFS franchise, that would be pointless now, since the Working Title crew came onboard as 1st party developers for Asobo.

I stand by my belief that there would be nothing preventing RXP from developing for MSFS today - the TDS GTN products show that a Garmin Trainer-based solution works perfectly well in MSFS. If they were to do that, it could not be sold through the Marketplace, but certainly could be sold via their own storefront, or by vendors such as Flight1 or SimMarket.
