CTD solution (for me)

Featured Replies

Hello folks,

The last months I was experiencing CTD's a lot of times most of them after a while in the flight.

DDU installed every driver possible no fix....

But then I installed the latest Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable and now no CTD at all anymore.

Just reporting so maybe it can help somebody else, nothing  so annoying then a CTD midflight!
(maybe also crying children while on final at Vatsim, so you have to disconnect)

I've been having similar issues in recent days. Flights would CTD with a small error box. Looked like maybe my FS Drive (980pro) was failing. Sometimes recently I'd be getting CTD in the Fly loading screen. Seems to have cleared up now after Nvidia update but that's a guess. This has happened after all the major SU updates and it generally sorts itself out after a few days each time I have found.  Can never pinpoint the exact thing though.

I have the latest Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable (July  2023) and still get "graphics-error" CTDs. I think if you have Windows 10 and set it for automatic updates, this file is routinely updated.
