October 14, 20232 yr Seeing that the genius community has come up with a way to hack the .exe to improve sky colour, I wonder if there could be a way to hack the .exe to disable the METAR reads/blending in the weather? I so much would love to have our real weather back WITHOUT the METAR blending 😉 Probably not possible, but then again, no one thought it would be possible to bring the sky colour fix into the game unless the devs did it..
October 14, 20232 yr Author And of course I have no idea how it works, but my hope is that all that it would be is an on/off type of thing somewhere within the code (as if restricting the on-line "import" of METAR data). I noticed one time a while back the real weather was working, but any METAR I brought up was not available so maybe the METAR service was down at the time. I didn't notice if the real weather looked any different though. So my hope is that the METAR and the real weather data are two separate things within the code and if the METAR is not available, there would be nothing to "blend"? 🤷♂️
