P2atc voice not working when sim is focused

Featured Replies

Hello.

I'm currently on a trial of p2atc and am considering making the purchase but I have an issue. When I have the atc app window focused, it all works and I can get clearances, etc. If I'm in the sim, nothing registers.  If I have msfs 2020 in one window and p2atc in another, I can see the ptt lighting up when i push the ptt button, and windows is indicating to me that the client is using my mic, but nothing shows up in the atc window of the client. Is this by design and atc can't be interacted with If the client doesn't have focus?

Thank you

I got it fixed, not sure if this helps anyone but I unchecked ignore battery and avionics, and turned the Com2 radio off in both the sim and the app and it started working.

If you are running P2A on a networked machine instead of on the same machine as the SIM, then most likely you will have to have focus on the client machine, depending on the software you are using to connect and how you have your PTT and Mic set up.

If you physically connect your Headset and PTT button to the client machine, then it should work.  There is an option in P2A to Require SIM or P2A focus.  You'll want to turn that option off.
