Flight Monitor - Vertical speed limit for stabilize criteria

Featured Replies

The Flight Monitor is a great way to supplement my landing practice as it provide more information besides just the landing stats.

But I realized that for some reason the above Stabilized Criteria for VMC always and despite the vertical speed to be below the -400 fpm limit.

Is this normal?

Hi wasd,

you fell into a small trap here that also confused me once during development 🙂

Your descent profile became too shallow, ie. your vertical speed was 'higher' than -400 fpm, which means it became shallower (as opposed to steeper).

It's purely mathematical: -344 > -400

Hope that makes sense?

Note. you can always change the default limits if you find they don't work for your flying ops.
