November 22, 20232 yr OK, bit of a catchy Title...🙂..., so, here, up front, is the explanation. First of all, I picked up today a Livery Pack to go with my Xbox (PMDG) 737-600 (if you wish, please see my earlier post with my first experience and flight with the PMDG 736 for Xbox/MSFS2020). Second, SAS (Scandinavian Airlines) was the launch customer for the -600 variant, having acquired nearly half of the total number built, for its fleet. So, here is, at least, one well-respected airline that liked (just as yours truly did...🙂...) this supposedly forgotten (and un-popular) a/c variant...for one or more (good) reasons of its own...and operated it for more than two decades... The "-600" is bit of an anomaly. Although, the "-600" is the first (designated) member of the (flagship) 737NG Series, it was launched (as a smaller version) 2 years after the (vastly more popular) "-700", and also delivered a year after the "-700", only to be overwhelmed by its sibling. Only <70 -600s were built compared to >1100 -700s. With the ERJs and CRJs just around the corner, the "capacity-to-weight" of the -600 did not make economic sense to the operators, though a few operators, notably SAS and WestJet, did find niche applications for this a/c. Four years ago, in 2019, after 21 years of operation, SAS fondly bid farewell to its last 737-600, with a special flight from Stockholm to Oslo via Copenhagen. Over Copenhagen, the Pilots first did a low-pass fly-by, and then drew a figure of "Six" pattern in the skies. So, I thought, I could also (minimally) mimic a Test Flight of my own with this SAS 736 livery (always been one of my favorites from past SIMs), with at least a symbolic pattern of "Six". To make things simple, in my virtual world, I've defined a set of custom WPTs (anchored off the KAS (Kastrup) VOR) to create a stick-figure of "6" with hopefully a vague resemblance to the actual "6"...🙂...see my ND MAP display screenshots). In my case, the T/C is coincidentally seen exactly at the bottom LHS corner of my "6". The below set of images show pictures from my flight after taking off from Copenhagen (EKCH) RWY 04R, climbing about 100 miles straight out at RWY heading, and then ready to enter the (stick) pattern of "6"...symbolic of the (memorable) way SAS took its final "Six" to the sky, for one last time... Hope you enjoy these images. Thanks for viewing and Happy Thanksgiving to the folks in U.S. Edited November 22, 20232 yr by P_7878

And, yes, this livery pack is well-done. As I understand, PMDG is keeping tight reins on the Quality of what repaints can be made available for the 737s, in Xbox...though not freeware...  20 hours ago, Alaska738 said: Great shots! 😉 Appreciated, Will. I know you might like anything Boeing...🙂...though this not a -800…Cheers...! Edited November 23, 20232 yr by P_7878
