Crashing into nothing while taxiing at KDEN

Featured Replies

While taxiing under the walkway at KDEN in anticipation of flying to KSEA, imagine my surprise when I "crashed" into... nothing. It seems I was sent under the walkway at KDEN and perhaps this piece of scenery "extends" down to the ground. Anybody else have this problem at KDEN?http://www.flightsim.no/artikler/01007/img/kden_s.jpg

No - I haven't had that issue - but I would have expected it to happen.Same reason you cannot fly under most bridges in FS with crash detection turned one. I don't think the program understands the concept of an empty clear space below an object.Almost all FS objects crash range extends a bit beyond the visual textured part of the model. When I want to fly close to things, I have to turn crash detection off. One of the limitations of modeling and the program I assume.

That's it exactly...the crash range extends beyond the visual model.I ran into the same thing creating hangars at MPDA. To enter them I had to turn off crash detection. I am still looking to give the mdl a command that will disable crash detect on the object. So for now, turn off crash detection if you plan to taxi under that bridge.I've been there a lot in real life and it's neat to watch planes go under you.RhettAMD 3700+ (@2585 mhz), eVGA 7800GT 256 (Guru3D 93.71), ASUS A8N-E, PC Power 510 SLI, 2gb Corsair XMS 3-3-3-8 (1T), WD 150 gig 10000rpm Raptor, WD 250gig 7200rpm SATA2, Seagate 120gb 5400 rpm external HD, CoolerMaster Praetorian
