Worldwide Elevations All Wrong: P3Dv5.4

Featured Replies

Suddenly, for no apparent reason, elevations for ALL airports both add-on and stock are wrong. Also, scenery polys (?) are showing up where they should not be.

For example: SVMI is right on the coast of Venezuela and that there is mostly ocean North of the airport; no desert polys or city tiles. However, North of the airport all I see is city and tan desert-like tiles.

I've disabled ORBX one at a time(I have them all), Pilot's 2024 Mesh one area at a time and even un-installed and re-installed the P3Dv5.4 Client to no avail.

Thanks

If you have ORBX install and the scenery polys not showing up in the right place is usually caused by ORBX and the sim not being sync'd.  Have you tried syncing the ORBX scenery under help section in the settings in ORBX central. The setting is called Sync Simulator.  Far as the elevation issues, not sure what the cause is.

Specs: black box thingy with spinning fans, lights and a bunch of wires that go to screens with pretty colours and a keyboard with many keys. The black box thingy also has a push button activated coffee cup holder.

I like ur PC, John!!  I just fixed it by recovering the prog data p3dv5 folder from one of my many backups.  So far, so good.  This happened for no apparent reason, I hadn't changed/added anything between my last good session and the next bad one.  All I can say is Backups are good!

Thanks

Walter
