Best default aircraft for Quest 3?

Featured Replies

Not all aircraft are optimized for VR.  I'm looking for suggestions to use with VFR. Simple is best. Thank you.

Hardware: i7-8700k, GTX 1070-ti, 32GB ram, NVMe/SSD drives with lots of free space.
Software: latest Windows 10 Pro, P3Dv4.5+, FSX Steam, and lots of addons (100+ mostly Orbx stuff).

I have a quest 2.  Very happy with Milvitz c310 , but then have not used it since purchasing the  A2A  Comanche!

I upgraded to Q3 and I still have the Q2. I don't have the 310.

I am 'new' to VR. I have been having reliability issues connecting to my PC, and as a result I've not been using VR much yet. I often get this spinning hourglass when I switch to VR in MSFS that doesn't want to go away. What's odd is that when I test the USB connection, the connection speed is apparently ok since I get a speed of 2.1 to 2.4. I got the Quests as gifts from my son (he works for Meta).

Are you using the Comanche with the Q2?

Yes Comanche is great. Check your vr graphic settings in MSFS a recent update for Me put everything on maximum, and I got the hourglass because it just couldn’t cope with rendering in such high resolution. There are a lot of videos on YouTube about the open XR toolkit kit with tips on what to do. I’m just not sure though if your graphics card is good enough, sorry I’m not that technical
