January 4, 20242 yr Hello, I bought the X-Plane 12 steam version. In this version I cannot enable the yoke mouse. In the demo version (not Steam) this function works perfectly. In the steam version it shows an Xbox controller connected, but I don't have any controller connected to my computer. How do I resolve this issue and enable the mouse?
January 4, 20242 yr As I don't own the Steam version, unfortunately I don't have a direct answer (apart from that Steam may interfere with controllers in some way from what I know from other titles). But, if you want to use X-Plane regularly, I would recommend x-plane.org* as forum because there are (for obvious reasons 🙂) the most X-Plane users. * It is not affiliated with Laminar Research but "only" a dedicated forum for X-Plane. BTW, in my opinion it's always better to buy from the original vendor than from Steam - applies also for other titles. January 5, 20242 yr Author Thanks. Yes, Steam is interfering with controller tuning and I can't change it. I've searched several sites and haven't found a solution to the problem. The price is better on Steam and that's why I didn't buy it from the supplier.
January 5, 20242 yr From Bing Click the gear icon to open the settings menu, and then click "Controller Settings". Untick any relevant controller setting boxes, or select "Disable Steam Input" from the dropdown menu. Alternatively, you can disable Steam controller settings for a specific game by selecting the game in the library, clicking "Manage Game", "Controller Options", and then "Forced Off".
