And use one of the lower right axis for throttle. And the other one I would map both brakes axis onto it. That way you have a proportional analogue brake that makes slowing down smooth and easy. You can type on a keyboard better with hands rather than feet. Same with modulating brakes. Foot brakes are practical in planes and cars only because you have force feedback in the real world. And it also would serve as a parking brake that you can verify whether it's on or off by just looking at the lever. With both brakes on full your plane is parked. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. January 8, 20242 yr Author I use TM pendular pedals for differential brake. But for applying both brakes I use one of the two "throttle" handles on my Warthog throttle. Easier to make a smooth landing applying exact brake pressure with my hand. I use my Warthog throttle when flying with the Honeycomb yoke. Warthog has two really large metal throttles with a knob to set the friction on them. January 8, 20242 yr Author When using real controllers, like the Honeycomb, instead of a game controller like the Yawman, I think an alpha yoke, beta quad on the right and TM Warthog throttle on the left is ideal. There's so many uses for those high quality metal axis and buttons on the Warthog throttle, and for me the alpha + beta alone doesn't provide enough input. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. January 11, 20242 yr Nice, but I wonder how they came up with the pricing for the Yawman relative to the competition with other game controllers. Some legacy gamepad controllers also have a built-in throttle at a fraction of the cost eg Amazon.com: Logitech 963246 WingMan Cordless Rumblepad Gamepad : Video Games. or the Logitech Wingman Rumblepad USB Controller | eBay The high price is like the price offered by Apple for its VR headset, the Vision Pro (256 GB of storage), which cost $3500. Meta offers the recently released VR headset, the Quest 3 (512 GB of storage), for $650.
