January 10, 20242 yr On the M500 shouldn't turning on bleed air cause a rise in ITT? And shouldn't running the air con in high increase it further? As of now it doesnt seem to have an effect. Read the user manual, there is a diagram on how air is distributed to the cabin (environment control) and you will realise why this doesn't affect ITT. Aurcin is just an air compressor belt attached to the engine, the bleed is a lever which allows some hot air from the engine to be diverted to the cabin and the environment control system. R. Looking at the schematic, and just from some basic knowledge on the pt6, If bleed air is being diverted away from the engine, either from intake air or cooling air around the combustion chamber, wouldn't that cause a rise in ITT? Doesn't it have the same effect as thinner air at altitude causing an increase in ITT for a given torque number? I would think this effect would also increase if the ECS controller were in high or emergency since it would be taking more bleed air in those situations. Im no M500 expert, so maybe Im just not understanding the system, or it has some way of eliminating this effect that other PT6 powered airplanes do not have. January 10, 20242 yr Commercial Member I build the systems as irl pilots told me to do. Also if you watch online videos of m500 in the ground ITT remains stable when the pilots puts the bleed lever in and the ECS. One thing that is very important about m500 is that the engine is flat deratted, and the RPMs are always high. At idle is 1200rpm to 1300rpms, that is a considerable amount of air being pushed which keeps the engine cooling going. I have videos of pilots at ISA +20, ITT tables of my products is built based on their IRL data, I seem the engine display when they push the bleed lever and ECS, no visible change at all. Remember not all PT6 engines are the same. R. Oficial Website: https://www.FSReborn.com Discord Channel: https://discord.gg/XC82TqvKQ3
