  1. Is there any way to get msfs ai traffic to use fsltl and justflight models? I have them installed but they dont show up.
  2. Lots of wasm crashes since the -700 update. Try deleting your panel states and wasm cache. It helped me.
  3. All that and I still have to wait for the tug to connect before I can tell them what direction to push
  4. If you want realistic flight models check out the A2A stuff as well, if you like the blacksquare products you will love the a2a products. If you want to try another sim give XP12 a try. I bought it recently jus to fly the hotstart challenger, Its a million miles ahead of p3d and gives msfs a real run for its money, and if you care about the flight model its in a class of its own.
  5. It sounds like a bright future for xp for sure. For now having map enhancement is great until the new scenery solution is implemented. Right now the new weather system and its effects on the aircraft, combined with the improved flight physics really give xp a huge leg up. Dangerous Weather, realistic thunderstorms, turbulence and realistic icing is something that the competition is sorely lacking at the moment.
  6. Its fantastic so far. And wow, the weather and lighting has come so far since I last used xp in v11. Been reading up on some of the v12 blog posts regarding the flight model improvements they made, very detailed and impressive stuff. I think the fact that the xp devs are rw pilots really gives xp a stong advantage in terms of its flight model. I may be spending a lot more time on this sim than I thought! If they can get dlss working and get the night lighting a little bit better xp will be unstoppable.
  7. Ahh ok. I tried turning it off mid flight but it game me an error. Ill try without it on my next night flight to compare. I did get some extended night textures but i found that there was a mismatch between the intensity of the close lights and the extended ones, with the extended lights being too dim.
  8. Its great, really love it so far! They are the fenix of xplane for sure.
  9. Thanks for all of the advice, I ended up buying the challenger, man what a cool addon that is! Ive found that map enhancement + simheaven + a snow cover plugin gives seasons and graphics comparable enough to msfs. Heck even msfs seasons dont work perfectly. Lighting and colors are indeed more natural in xp. The biggest downside for me is the night lighting and lack of dlss. Popping in of night textures, cities are barely visible. Clouds are not lit by aircraft or city lights. It looks good at 1000ft but above that its pretty poor. But at least its dark when it should be unlike msfs which is always too bright. Having dlss available would also help greatly with perf. Fps are lower overall but i do find it less stuttery than msfs.
  10. Oh no! Thats a big problem. Is there any way to get streamed ortho like msfs with xplane and not lose seasons?
  11. Does that include seasons too? I think Simheaven changes tree colors, but will map enhancement shade the ortho tiles different based on seasons?
  12. I havent touched XPLANE since MSFS2020 released, but i've always had the itch to try the hotstart challenger, and with the new weather and lighting enhancements that have come to xplane recently I am thinking more and more about buying XP12 and the challenger. I want to dig into the systems and fly that puppy all over the world. Its a big investment in time and money, if it weren't for the challenger I would be perfectly happy and busy sticking with pmdg and fenix on msfs2024. Not trying to start and xp vs msfs thread, but I only have so much time and Im happy with what I have currently and don't want to spend too much time tweaking the sim. So I have a few questions about certain features that I don't really want to live without. 1.) I need to have photoscenery with accurate cities and building placement, WITH seasons, including ortho textures and trees. I want to be able to fly all over the world like I do with msfs without having to build terrabytes of otho scenery and have it look correct for the time of the year and wx conditions. Can this be achieved with map enhancement alone + simheaven? 2.) Accurate snow cover that works with live wx and photoscenery streaming 3.) Is night lighting at least on par with msfs SU4? I have bad memories of night textures popping in with distant cities being invisible in xp11. Do cities illuminate clouds from below? This effect is very apparent IRL and well done in msfs. I do know the darkness level and overall night lighting is more realistic in xp but dont want the light popping. 4.) I only fly in VR, i tried the demo version but couldn't get it to work. Can I use the pimax crystal light without steam vr in xplane? In msfs it works flawlessly with only the pimax software. I really dont like steam VR. 5.) I have a beefy system but in VR its always a struggle, can expect similar performance to what I get with PMDG aircraft in fs2024 without having to lower my settings too much? 6.) Does xplane have water colors or masks yet for tropical areas? 7.) Is it stable? Since SU4 I haven't had a single crash in msfs, even with the sim running for 48 hours + with multiple turns.
  13. Thats one of my favorite things about it lol. Do you really think you would be able to hear the heading bug at cruise in the cockpit of a 737?
  14. unfortunately I still get them with dynamic mode one
  15. I get great performance overall but bad stutters after landing turning off the runway.
  16. Yeah might want to double check before making assumptions. And even in the 777 it wont actually load the pax and cargo you set in the flight plan progressively. Its a half baked feature thats pretty much useless in its current state.
  17. You can insta set the weights and fuel but you cant have the ground sservice vehicles progressively load the aircraft, that functionality is only available through the fmc, and you still have to do it manually. Nothing on the tablet or ground ssrvices has been improved or changed in the 2024 version.
  18. Not through the tablet which is what i was referring to
  19. The pmdg 737 is a good addon, but what bugs me most about them is they keep saying every version is a ground up rebuild when instead its the same code with a few more bug fixes. The only thing that gets rebuilt is the 3d model from time to time. Pmdg stopped innovating after their fsx ngx and fsx 777, you can still see that same code with some of the same bugs lives on in the current versions of their products. Its amazing actually that what they built back then has been good enough to carry them forward and still compete with whats out today. But id like to see them innovate with their systems again like they used to and similar to how fenix is with their products. Anytime they are forced to build something new because of community pressure you see that they just cant handle it, eg. The flight tablet, pax cabin, etc. It just turns into missed deadlines and false promises. What ever happened to the pmdg tablet being this great thing we were going to see with all of these 3rd party integrations and you still cant even set the fuel or pax load with it on the 737. And im sorry but the texturing on the new 737 cabin looks awful and low res even compared to their own 777. Sorry, rant over.
  20. The worst thing about the fenix is it makes everything else feel like a toy. The textures, systems, sounds, flight model, ground handling, seamlessness of the efb and everything else, its just so polished. I find the 737 has so much more character as an aircraft, its just more fun to operate but boy do I wish it was made by fenix instead of pmdg. Ah well at least its not inibuilds.
  21. Heres how to get the best fps with the pcl. Use foveated rendering through pimax, not the sim. Enable smart smoothing through the nvidia app, use dlss, and of couse use the lowest dlss resolution that you can still enjoy. Use 90 hz refresh (upscale lab gives better perf but its blurry so i dont use it, I prefer to lower the dlss to balanced or performance to get back some perf instead). No vsync locked to half refresh needed. I dont use anyof the motion smoothing options in pimax or msfs either as that robs cpu performance. With good fps I dont need motion smoothing. And I hate to say it, but with pmdg and fenix the 4090 wasnt cutting it in 2024. Im sure su4 helped some though. The 5090 gives a good experience, That extra vram really helps.
  22. DO NOT buy the fslabs. It is an alpha product. The flight model uses the old legacy model, turbulence doesn't effect it, it has a ton of bugs. Direct law is not simulated, alternate law is not simulated. FMGC functions are missing. The performance is horrible. The visual model sucks. I LOVED fslabs and really wanted this to be great, but it is really a waste of money and i wish I never bought it. Who knows when and if it will ever be fixed.
  23. No failures is what stopped me from buying the 2020 version, deep system and failures will have me buying this time around
