Does Mobiflight have a modifier key option?

Featured Replies

Not sure where to ask this so the Hangar it is. 😉 (EDIT: The MSFS forum is fine too. 😉 )

My main plane (SF50 in MSFS) comes with a few HVARs which I'd like to use. Afaik you can use Mobiflight to assign HVARs to controller keys, like buttons on a joystick. (Right?) Problem is that my controller doesn't have enough unassigned buttons left. Just one. Now I wondered if Mobiflight has an option for modifier keys, some sort of shift-like key, which would enable me to assign HVARs to any of my controller buttons. When I press (just an example) button 1 right now my gear goes up. But if I'd press-and-hold my modifier key (the only button I have left which is not assigned to anything right now) I could then press 1 and the HVAR would be excecuted!

Hopes this makes sense LOL

Anyone knows if this is possible?

BTW If anyone knows how to assign HVARs to regular keyboard keys (using freeware only) please let me know! That would be even better and easier for me. It amazes me how hard it apparently is to assign HVARs to a regular keyboard...

Since this topic references MSFS 2020, I figured this will be the best place for your question.
