Reshade UI Panel

Recommended Posts

Hi all!

I'm so late to this, but I'm attempting to use Reshade.

Once I have loaded a scenario, I am unable to get the Reshade UI Panel to open within P3D v5. It shows up for a second, then disappears and my "End" key doesn't do anything to enable effects.

What do I do to fix this?

Lot's of questions re: troubleshooting this one.

  • What version of reshade ?
  • Was it the full addon support version ?
  • P3D has the [USERINTERFACE] UIHardwareAcceleration=False set in the prepar3d.cfg ?
  • Shader Effects were downloaded ?

Once installed into the P3D root the following will have been created.

  • A folder named "reshade-shaders" containing the shader effects you'd chosen and downloaded via the installer.
  • dxgi.dll
  • ReShade.ini
  • ReShade.log
  • ReShadePreset.ini
  • And maybe some .addon64 files if you'd chosen any.

Since reshade has to write to the various ini files P3D will need a level of permissions to do so.

e.g. Run P3D as an admin, this would be especially so if P3D is installed into a Windows "Program Files" path.

Note I rename the dxgi.dll to d3d11.dll to avoid a clash with my screen recording software, but that said it should still function OK otherwise.

Cheers
