Reality-XP - RealSimGear GNS530 set up?

Recommended Posts

After about  24 hours of effort, managed to get Reality-XP installed

Reality-SP shows up in the Plug Ins but my display still only shows 3 pages in NAV

I'm unable to find any check list or tutorial on Reality-XP   to get it working.

The support for this product is non-existant. After downloading,

Expect Windows to block it, then you have to remove that block,

then you get a pop up windown for RealityXP on top of X-Plane 11 that cannot be removed, it can be minimized and placed on the screen somewhere. Thats not good enough.

Then you discover that you cannot use Navigraph or the data base that came with X-Plane 12 , they only allow you to use Jeppesen.

I don't know of any home sim user who can afford full Jep service.

I am in the same "boat". I posted a question here 8 months ago, re. usabiliy in VR and never got even a single reply, so decided to do most of my advanced Garmin flying in MSFS2020 instead, which has the best full featured free of charge variety of Garmins of any simulator. no installation hassles, it's pre-installed by default in any aircraft that has a Garmin in their panel. all MENU pages are included, which are completely missing from the x-plane default version. very disappointed by reality-xp's attitude. from what you describe I take it can not be installed in any VirtualReality panel.I won't spend a single penny on them after reading your experience. but thanks for your detailed report.

AMD 7800X3D, Windows 11, Gigabyte X670 AORUS Elite AX Motherboard, 64GB DDR5 G.SKILL Trident Z5 NEO RGB (AMD Expo), RTX 4090,  Samsung 980 PRO M.2 NVMe SSD 2 TB PCIe 4.0, Samsung 980 PRO M.2 NVMe SSD 1 TB PCIe 4.0, 4K resolution 50" TV @60Hz, HP Reverb G2 VR headset @ 90 Hz, Honeycomb Aeronautical Bravo Throttle Quadrant, be quiet 1000W PSU, Noctua NH-U12S chromax.black air cooler.

60-130 fps. no CPU overclocking.

very nice.
