January 24, 20242 yr Yesterday, I attempted a download on Simviation, and I use the Download manager, IDM (Internet Download Manager). I use this site every day, and I've downloaded successfully the various planes or utilities I use in P3d. I really love IDM and have used it for many years. Downloads usually are opened quickly, and they do go to my Compressed Folder on my C drive under User, Name, Downloads, Compressed. However, yesterday, when I tried to open a 747 China Airlines livery, it would not open and gave me the following message: "Windows Cannot Open the Folder. The Compressed (zipped) folder C:\Users\Stan\Downloads\Compressed\b748i_air_China_v2.zip is invalid. I worked on it for hours yesterday, searched everywhere about this, and uninstalled IDM and reinstalled it, but I cannot solve this situation. Files that are in the Compressed folder that have been there before yesterday, can still be opened normally. It's only the new ones that go there that cannot be opened. Perhaps this is the wrong forum for this problem, but I would appreciate some direction on this. Thanks. Stan

Can you post the URL and I can see if this is a common IDM issue or something specific? Stan Hi Stan, Its working for me for the B748 v2 China file, however in IDM its complaining about downloading the file from the Simviation site where the package must be downloaded from the start (i.e. multiple packages are not allowed apparently). To fix this, in IDM you need to change the connections to 1 (my default is 8 ) . Once I changed this and clicked on the URL, it began the download from the site. Its slow but its going. 28% complete right now for the download. January 24, 20242 yr OK, download via IDM is complete. 59Mb file for the B748i China v2 file. File is good and I can see the contents within the zip file. So for me it worked by changing the # of connections in IDM and set this to 1. To do this go to Downloads/Options menu and select the Connection tab. Change the # of connections. Maybe this is one way to resolve your issue??? January 24, 20242 yr Author Thank you for your responses. I think I have SOLVED my issue. I found that my Compressed Folder today did not appear under Downloads. It had disappeared! I found information on how to get into Microsoft Windows and the "Send To" file. In there is the Compressed folder as well. I followed the directions on this site, and restarted my computer. However, the restart indicated an UPDATE to Windows 11. I did the Update and uninstalled IDM once more. I reinstalled IDM and restarted. I then went to my C drive, User name, etc. and under Downloads was a fresh Compressed Folder. I then went to Simviation and tried multiple downloads, and they all went into the Compressed Folder and they OPENED. Problem somehow is now solved. I will never know what caused this to occur, but weird things happening are a continuous occurrence with computers, and you have to just deal with it. Thank you for your quick responses. Stan
