no longer collecting Lvars...

Featured Replies

I had no trouble collecting Lvars and finding them in the events menu in Axis and Oh's. Suddenly, the program appears to collect and at one point it displays the "lvars collected" pop up notice. Yet, when I go to the events list, there is no sign of "Local simulator variables". I've restarted the program and the sim many times, including collecting lvars, yet nothing appears. Everything appears normal, and I have not made any changes. Any ideas on how to troubleshoot the issue?  I am using the JF F28 and in the past I had no trouble collecting Lvars for this aircraft. thanks.

In general:

- Make sure that the addon package "lorbysi-content-hooks" is present and active in your Community folder
- Be mindful that the list of LVars is not saved. When you restart or reset AAO it is gone and you have to collect the LVars again.
- The file "C:\Users\...\AppData\Local\LORBY_SI\LorbyAxisAndOhs...\lvarscan.csv" contains the result of the last scan, in a format that you could import into AAO (=for good). I would advise against doing that, because MSFS tends to report all kinds of LVars, not only those that are active in the current aircraft.

Furthermore, LVars can be seen (with their current values) in the MSFS developer mode, "Tools->Behaviors". There is an extra tab for Local Variables. And all variables are also visible in a saved flight file.

Just don't forget to add the Unit, at the very least ", Number" when using them in AAO. Otherwise the app treats them as local AAO variables and they are not synchronized with the sim.
