P2ATC says I'm number 2 for departure. There are no other aircraft at the airport. Why? Should I just take off?

Are you running the latest Beta version of Pilot2ATC?

No, you should not just take off because doing so will cause the rest of the flight to not go well.

You could take off, and then perform a reset of P2A by:

  • Disconnect, then Reconnect P2A to the SIM
  • File the Flight Plan
  • Call Departure control (or Center) and make initial contact "<CallSign> climbing to <CruiseAltitude>"

Make sure you are on course before making the call so you avoid getting the off course calls.

I ended up doing as you mention. Disconnected P2ATC and once airborne I tried again. Flight worked fine after that
