February 13, 20242 yr Hello there, I have been a happy user of the program for quite a while now, but now when I open a command whether it is a button, or an axis it seems to freeze, my mouse moves horribly slow and the program is unusable. It still works just fine on the commands I have already set up, but I can no longer edit. Please help...
February 13, 20242 yr Commercial Member Go to "Hardware->Device Blacklist". Move everything into the list on the right with the "Ignore" button that isn't a game controller that you are using with AAO. Restart the app. LORBY-SI
February 14, 20242 yr Commercial Member Long explanation: this often happens when AAO detects some device (hardware or software device) as a game controller that actually isn't one. Some of those devices interfere massively when you try to assign new things (=when all input devices are active). In normal operations only those devices are active that you actually made assignemts for, so the problem is muted. Blacklisting them is the only option (blacklist all mice and keyboards too, and the Saitek Panels, and the StreamDeck, if you have those. AAO talks to them through other means) LORBY-SI
April 17, 20242 yr It took me two years to figure out the importance of the Blacklist. What a difference it makes in AAO responsiveness!
