The controls on the back of the throttle handle is a great idea. Some other makes and models of throttles have that same thing too. When you put hand on throttle, your fingers fall automatically onto these controls if you just sort of grip the handle tighter. It's all tactile, and not visual, and therefore fast and easy to remember.

This is the new Velocity One FlightDECK, not the FllightSTICK.

POV hat axis plus two more hats. One less than Thrustmaster Warthog. Advantage Warthog

Instead of 2 axis plus 2 POV axis (e.g. Thrustmaster Warthog), there are 5 axis plus the 2 POV Axis. Big advantage Turtlebeach.

20:05 into the video. Braking Configuration. Few of you guys have done one of these configurations (analogue proportional brakes that engage both left and right proportionally at the same time). I did this with my Warthog throttle (the second lever). He does in on the stick bottom squeeze lever. This is really for me almost necessary, (although few simmer have configured something like this). Immediately after landing you can apply both brakes proportionally, for example relatively mildly or less mildly without pushing on the rudder brakes. This is infinitely more smooth and accurate in my opinion than using the toe brakes on my TM pendular pedals.

For differential braking, that's when I the toe brakes on the pedals instead. So those are still very useful indeed.

For anyone with arthritis or painful hands, the CH Products Fighterstick is a very good way to go. It works fine in MSFS. It uses potentiometers which is old tech but mine still works perfectly after 10 years. Very accurate tracking. Very ergonomic. It's also lightweight and therefore will stay put with velcro on any surface. If you have a deskmount platform with holes designed for another stick (e.g. Warthog or stick), just use velcro on the bottom of the CH stick. The stick is light and so industrial strength velcro will hold it so nice and tight that it takes quite an effort to break it loose.

For normal people the TM Warthog and Virpil and VKB are the best stick. In addition to the new and cheaper TurtleBeach VelocityOne flightdeck stick (not the same stick at all as their cheap VelocityOne flightstick).

I was a happy user of a Warthog stick for a few years, but I broke it totally (my fault). I brought out my old CH FighterStick as a temporary replacement, and decided it is going to be my permanent stick. I think overall it even flies better than the Warthog which I loved. And has the same hats and buttons in the same position because both of these sticks are close copies of the F16 stick.
