The Last Iconic Short Solent Flying Boat (MSFS)

Featured Replies

The beautiful, iconic Coral Route through the South Pacific in the 1950s between New Zealand (NZ) & Tahiti was the last flying boat route in the world. The Short Solent IV flying boat flying that route is preserved in an Auckland, NZ, museum & is the last remaining Short Solent in the world. Hope you enjoy. Cheers.

Great presentation!

You are probably aware of the PILOT'S B-314 flying boat (payware) which is visually closer to the Short Solent. Both have 4 engines.

There is a great book about the Coral Route by Gerry Barton: "Coral Route" (2015) which describes in great detail what you summarized in your video.

Thanks for sharing.
