March 26, 20242 yr I have an issue which is affecting all my piston driver aircraft, and I'm wondering if others are experiencing the same or can offer a solution. Once they get above a certain altitude, usually about 10,000 feet, the power drops off. I can see the manifold pressure is way down, even though I have the throttle levers maxed. I have no (to my knowledge) items set in the options which would cause this. It's really hard to, for example, cross the mountains when then plane can't go very high.

I would check that something didn't get mysteriously changed under Assistance Options, like AutoMixture, etc. Al Edited March 26, 20242 yr by ark
March 26, 20242 yr Author Ah, thank you for the suggestion. Automixture had changed "on its own" and I reset it. I was then able to power up to 25,000 feet. Thx again. 🙂
