Glitch with my FSX - Sound driver?

Recommended Posts

I have a strange sound issue..... When i pull the throttle back to idle (on any aircraft), if in cockpit view, all is well. However, if in an outside view, the sound hasn't and doesn't change - the rpm sounds are still high! Most disturbing - makes me thing think i'm on final at 'full tilt'!!!This happens most of the time now. It is only the sound that's wrong, the engine rpm does fall corretly.Any ideas?

Looks like you're using onboard sound?I have the same MB and CPU and I also have problems with on board sound (randomly goes to steady static). I have not updated the drivers because I was thinking about getting a sound card anyway.BTW, what type of cooling do you use to get 3.6G. Has it been stable?

No, I never use onboard sound. Have a Creative Audigy card.Using THE STOCK COOLER!!! Will have to up the voltage a tad and get better cooling to STAY at 3.6 as it's not completely stable. It's 100% stable at 3.5 though.

That sounds good for the stock fan. I am (was) reluctant to OC with the stock - maybe I'll try to bump it up a bit (3.6 makes me nervous).Do you have sound problems running at 3.0G as well?
