I think the majority of MSFS aircraft are not really set up to support VR controllers, some do better than others but many actually warn you that VR controllers are not supported. External hardware is still the best control method.


Ryzen 7800X3D, RTX 4090, 32GB, Win 11. MSFS2020. VKB, MFG & Virpil controllers. Quest 3 for VR.

Yes - this ^

It is one of the great mysteries of life:

X-plane adopted VR years and years ago and the controllers always worked well, and still do.  However, their VR mouse always was a total mess, and still is.

Then MSFS comes along and is a complete game-changer.  And yet: their VR mouse control works extremely well.  But controllers?  Forget it.

 

For MSFS in VR, I think most of us tend to use physical yoke/stick and VR mouse for knob & switch manipulation.
