Scroll lock overlay indicator

Hi all, all of the sudden if I open or close the ATC menue using scroll lock key, I get an annoying visible overlay indication that this key was pressed. A novel unwanted W11 «feature»? How can I disable this? Only shows up in MSFS...

Windows 11 does not show an overlay for scroll lock. Are you sure it's not some 3rd party software?

It might be, but which one? Not so keen to uninstall and test which software it might be. Opentrack? Beam Eye Tracker software? Who knows...

By any chance, do you use Logitechs Logi Options+ software for mouse or keyboard settings?

I've had the same problem after an automatic update. Under settings there is an option for notifications for caps lock, scroll lock, num lock and FN.

Settings - Accessibility - Keyboard - ToggleKeys option slider will turn ON/OFF  "play a sound"  every time the scroll lock or num lock or caps lock key is pressed. High pitch squeal ON, low tone OFF.

I always have this  option on because my keyboard does not light up LEDs. If you assign MSFS commands to the number pad keys, then Num lock must be on for them to work.

Sadly both options did not do anything. I use the Logitech G Hub software, there is no such option available. Also all settings under "accessibility" are turned off, both sound and visual indication. Yet this annoying scroll lock overlay remains...

Found the bad guy: DELL Peripheral Manager. Installed it to use the webcam from DELL. Has an option to use such overlays, activated by default. How I hate such tools...
